North Area Meals on Wheels (NAMOW)

Provides meals to senior citizens and the disabled who are unable to buy or prepare their own meals. There are over 400 meals served daily, and over 120,000 meals served annually by NAMOW. Meals on Wheels provides services to those who are unable to shop and/or prepare meals on their own.

NAMOW’s purpose is to help maintain independence for senior citizens and disabled people. Volunteers deliver nutritious meals from our kitchen to their homes. This service is available to people of all income levels, all racial groups, all ages, all national origins, all genders, all ages, all religious affiliations, all disabilities, and all political affiliations, and is offered on either a short- or long-term basis. It is important to note that NAMOW is a visible institution on Church Street in North Syracuse, NY.

NAMOW makes all its food from scratch here. The County ALTCS, NYSOFA, and ACL provide a portion of NAMOW’s funding. Meals are also financed through private pay, donations, and fundraising.

Cicero, North Syracuse, Liverpool, Mattydale, Brewerton, Clay, Bridgeport and now serving Baldwinsville clients who qualify for Wellness In Nutrition (WIN) Program Onondaga County.
